DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Translate a wide range of written documents from Chinese to English and vice versa, including business correspondence, reports, legal documents, marketing materials, and technical manuals.
• Provide accurate and culturally sensitive translations for verbal communication, including meetings, interviews, and phone calls (if interpretation is also required).
• Proofread and edit translated materials to ensure quality and consistency.
• Maintain the original meaning, style, and tone of the source language.
• Conduct terminology research and build internal glossaries or translation memory databases.
• Collaborate with internal departments or clients to clarify ambiguous terms and ensure the intended message is conveyed.
• Meet tight deadlines and manage multiple translation assignments simultaneously.
• Stay updated on industry trends, language developments, and cultural nuances.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Certificate for Language Proficiency (HSK or any other related field)
• Proven fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) and English.
• 2+ years of experience in translation or a related field.
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and regional language differences.
• Excellent writing and editing skills in both languages.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php70, Php80,000.00 per month
