Florist

Job Summary:

Responsible for designing, arranging, and selling floral arrangements and related products for various occasions such as weddings, birthdays, funerals, and corporate events. The florist must have a creative eye, excellent customer service skills, and a good understanding of flower care and seasonal availability.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements (bouquets, centerpieces, wreaths, etc.)
• Provide customer service and assist clients in choosing flowers for specific events
• Maintain the freshness and cleanliness of flowers and work area
• Process incoming flower deliveries and check for quality
• Price arrangements and manage flower inventory
• Take and fulfill orders in-store, by phone, or online
• Coordinate with event planners or clients for large orders (e.g., weddings, funerals)
• Stay updated with floral trends and seasonal flowers
• May deliver floral arrangements to customers if needed
• High school diploma or TESDA NC II certification in Floral Arrangement (a plus)
• Experience in floral design or similar field preferred
• Creativity and an eye for detail and color
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic math and inventory skills
• Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak seasons (Valentine's, Mother's Day, All Saints' Day)
• Physically fit; able to stand for long periods and lift flower buckets
