Works Closely With: DP / Lighting Lead, Creative Assurance Lead (Vincent), LA Creative

Director (Remote), AI Systems Lead (Erick), Social Media & Marketing Team

Location: White Plains Creator House – Editor's Room

Job Type: On-site, full time

Employment Type: Full-time (Permanent / Senior-Level)

Role Purpose

  • The Senior Editor is the creative cornerstone of post-production in the White Plains Creator House.
  • This person takes raw footage from multiple daily shoots and transforms it into visually sharp, emotionally resonant, and culturally authentic short-form content — the kind of work that feels like it came straight out of Los Angeles.
  • Each Senior Editor owns a content vertical (e.g., lifestyle, VSL, or live-selling) and ensures every edit that leaves the house meets your standard of cinematic polish, pacing, and
  • storytelling.
  • They set the style, define the rhythm, and uphold the creative DNA of the house — building the foundation your AI systems will later learn from.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creative Editing & Storytelling
  • Craft daily short-form edits (15s–90s) optimized for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.
  • Build pacing, emotion, and engagement into every cut — especially the first three
  • seconds, ensuring instant audience hook.
  • Apply the established White Plains visual tone — LA lighting feel, cinematic pacing, and
  • strong contrast/color balance.
  • Identify emotional beats and highlight personality moments from creators that drive
  • virality.
  • Shape brand stories visually, ensuring each edit communicates clearly without voice-over explanation.

Post-Production Leadership

  • Mentor other editors on rhythm, color, and tone consistency.
  • Create and refine editing templates, LUTs, title packs, and sound design presets for
  • speed and consistency.
  • Conduct peer review sessions with other senior editors to maintain creative uniformity.
  • Provide structured feedback to DP and Producer for reshoots or additional coverage
  • needs.
  • Collaborate directly with Vincent (Creative Assurance) and the LA Creative Director for
  • authenticity validation and stylistic refinement.

Technical Mastery

  • Grade footage for color and exposure to match DP's lighting design.
  • Balance and clean audio, apply SFX, and create transitions that feel natural and high-end.
  • Output multiple aspect ratios and social platform versions, each optimized for native
  • experience (vertical framing, text-safe zones, captions).
  • Manage project files, backups, and deliverables in a highly organized shared system
  • (SSD + NAS + cloud sync).

AI & Data Collaboration

  • Work with Erick's AI team to tag each completed edit with metadata: creator, product,
  • tone, pacing, lighting style, and creative rating.
  • Maintain precise file naming and logging conventions for training data consistency.
  • Participate in the "Creative Feedback Loop" — provide written notes explaining what
  • worked and why for AI pattern learning.

Required Skills & Experience

● 5+ years experience as a Senior Video Editor or Post-Production Lead, ideally within social media, commercial, or short-form content.

● Deep understanding of storytelling through rhythm, music, and framing.

● Expert in Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve (After Effects/CapCut Pro a plus).

● Advanced color grading and sound design abilities.

● Portfolio demonstrating mastery of short-form storytelling, emotion, and brand polish.

● Experience collaborating closely with DPs, Producers, and creative directors on live

content.

● Strong English communication skills; understands Western pacing, humor, and tone

intuitively.

● Bonus: Experience with brand ads, creator marketing, or direct-response editing (VSL

experience a plus).

Personality & Cultural Fit

  • Passionate perfectionist — obsessed with the rhythm and mood of content.
  • Thinks like a filmmaker, edits like a storyteller.
  • Calm, patient, and self-motivated under high output pressure.
  • Values constructive feedback and iterative improvement.
  • Collaborative leader — elevates everyone around them with quiet excellence.
  • Obsessed with learning — studies new trends, pacing styles, and viral techniques
  • constantly.

KPIs (First 60–90 Days)

  • Consistent delivery of 15–20 polished short-form edits per week that pass Vincent's and
  • LA Director's approval.
  • Maintain ≥ 95% on-brand visual consistency (lighting tone, pacing, and authenticity).
  • Build the House Post-Production Library: project templates, LUTs, caption presets, and
  • SOPs.
  • Deliver written creative reasoning for top-performing videos to feed AI training data.
  • Mentor or train one junior editor or assistant by Day 90.

Workstation & Environment

  • Dedicated suite in the Editor's Room, fully isolated from active sets for focus.
  • Workstation: high-speed PC/Mac Studio (64GB RAM, RTX GPU), dual calibrated
  • monitors, SSD + NAS sync.
  • Access to house LUTs, preset packs, and raw media pipeline.
  • Surrounded by daily production energy, but insulated enough for deep creative flow.

Performance Review

  • At 60 days, each Senior Editor will be evaluated by:
  • Vincent (Creative Assurance) – for cultural and aesthetic authenticity
  • Tim (CEO) – for output quality and communication
  • Erick (AI Lead) – for metadata accuracy and workflow compliance

Top-performing editors will become Post Leads for new verticals or expansion houses.
