Position: Sous Chef

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Help lead and motivate a team of culinary professionals, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.
  • Prepare and execute high-quality dishes in line with the hotel's culinary standards.
  • Maintain inventory, manage food costs, and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly maintained.
  • Assist with menu planning, including seasonal dishes and daily specials.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance on technique, presentation, and safety.
  • Handle food preparation, plating, and ensuring a high standard of culinary excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role in a hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of culinary techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety regulations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
  • Creative with an eye for detail and presentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and nights as required.
