The IT Assistant is responsible for the configuration, installation, operation, and maintenance of computer systems and other technologies, such as communication-related systems.

Job Description:

  • Provides assistance to the IT Officer with basic networking know-how, installation, and configuring operating systems and other applications
  • Assist in cabling, configuration, installation, and maintenance of CCTV cameras, routers, auto servicing equipment, and other I.T. related gadgets
  • Maintenance of IT facilities and security, ensuring backup systems operates effectively and runs smoothly;
  • Monitor and maintain the workability of computer systems and networks
  • Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures, and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate
  • Researches and recommends system equipment upgrades and manages equipment inventory
  • Ensures that monthly maintenance of hardware and software is well-practiced
  • Works with hardware vendors to resolve equipment failures/problems;
  • Support the rollout of new applications if needed

Qualifications:

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology or other related courses
  • Experience with Back-Up and Recovery Management, Server Operating Systems, Network administration, Operations & Maintenance troubleshooting is an advantage
  • Must be knowledgeable in Windows 7 & Windows 10
  • Knowledgeable in remote desktop and/or same applications
  • Has basic knowledge in SQL database server and windows server
  • Has basic knowledge in network, LAN/WLAN configuration, and installation
  • Can work independently and also, can work well with a team
  • Must have analytical skills and problem solver
  • Must have keen attention to details
  • Willing to do fieldworks if needed
  • Willing to render overtime if needed and to provide on-call support even on rest day
