Position: Chemist
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
Must be a licensed Chemist.
Experience in mineral analysis or in a mining/metallurgical lab setting is a plus.
Familiarity with techniques such as atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS), ICP, titration, and gravimetric analysis.
Knowledge of metallurgical processes and chemicals used in mining (e.g., cyanide, acids, flocculants).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and report-writing skills.
Commitment to lab safety and environmental compliance.
Job Descriptions:
Analyze ore, mineral, and soil samples to determine metal content and composition.
Assist in the development and improvement of mineral extraction and processing techniques.
Conduct laboratory tests to support metallurgical processes like flotation, leaching, and smelting.
Monitor chemical usage and ensure proper handling and storage of reagents.
Maintain accurate lab records and prepare technical reports.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality control standards.
Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
