Kitchen Helper/Steward

Job Scope:

The kitchen helper is responsible for supporting the activities of the kitchen operation team. This includes preparing the work stations, preparing ingredients for the cooks, as well as cleaning procedures. He/She is expected to clean and reinstate work stations, operate cooking equipment and dispose of waste as per defined SOPs and follow the safety and hygiene policies and procedures by SFA rules and regulations

Job Responsibilities:

• Assisting with washing, peeling, chopping, and cutting ingredients.
• Washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, and maintaining a clean and sanitary work area.
• Helping with stock rotation, receiving deliveries, and ensuring proper storage of food items.
• Adhering to recipes and instructions provided by chefs and kitchen managers.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene, including proper handling and storage of food.
• Using kitchen equipment like mixers, cutters, and dishwashers, and reporting any malfunctions
• Preparing simple dishes like salads or garnishes.
• Assisting with plating and presentation of dishes.
• Cleaning floors, walls, and other kitchen surfaces.
• Removing garbage and maintaining a tidy kitchen space.
• May also be involved in taking inventory and managing food waste.
• Other duties as instructed by Sous Chef and Manager

Job Requirements:

• Preferably with experience in relevant sector
• Candidate with no experience but with strong interest may apply
• Able to work shift, weekends and public holidays
• Able to work efficiently with limited supervision and work as a team
• Hardworking, initiative and accountable.
• Able to communicates effectively

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From Php16,830.00 per month
