JOB SUMMARY:

  • The Internal Audit Officer leads straightforward audits by planning, guiding Associates, performing complex audit tasks, and reviewing work. They communicate with auditees and report results to management. They may also work independently or as part of a team on audits, using critical thinking for complex areas. As a Lead Auditor, they evaluate and coach Associates to ensure quality audit performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning the Audit Engagament

  • Analyze and assess initial data to develop and document audit strategies, plan risk assessments, coordinate with business units, and assign or complete tasks depending on role level.

Audit Execution and Supervision

  • Lead or support audit engagements by executing procedures, reviewing and documenting findings, ensuring quality and timeliness, managing stakeholders, and delivering complete, substantiated reports for management review.

Documenting and Communicating Audit Results

  • Prepare and review audit reports in a timely manner, lead exit conferences and presentations, address stakeholder queries, and finalize reports with agreed action plans for management review
  • Draft the final audit reports and submit them to the Assistant Manager (or higher) for review.

Audit Follow-up

  • Follow up status of implementation of business units' action plans to resolve audit finding, as assigned.
  • Monitor and review the audit follow-up accountabilities of Internal Audit Associates.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Internal Audit, Business, or other similar courses
  • At least 3 years of auditing and/or accounting experience
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are preferred but not required
