Job Summary:
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the housekeeping team, ensuring that all hotel rooms and public areas meet the established standards of cleanliness and presentation. This role involves supervising housekeeping staff, conducting inspections, coordinating with other departments, and providing exceptional service to guests. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining the overall cleanliness and safety of the hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Supervision:
- Supervise and lead a team of housekeeping staff, including room attendants
- Assign daily tasks and ensure that all assignments are completed to a high standard.
- Monitor staff performance, provide guidance, and conduct regular training sessions.
- Assist in the recruitment and training of new housekeeping team members.
Quality Control:
- Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are maintained.
- Address guest complaints and special requests promptly, ensuring high guest satisfaction.
- Ensure all housekeeping supplies and equipment are used correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain a consistent and high level of cleanliness in all areas of the hotel
Inventory and Supply Management:
- Monitor the inventory of housekeeping supplies and report shortages to the appropriate department.
- Ensure that cleaning equipment is properly maintained and repaired as necessary.
- Assist with the ordering and storage of supplies and ensure adherence to budget guidelines.
Guest Service:
- Provide excellent customer service to guests by responding to requests and ensuring their needs are met.
- Ensure that rooms are prepared and cleaned according to guest specifications and preferences, including special requests (e.g., extra pillows, specific cleaning requests).
Health & Safety Compliance:
- Ensure that housekeeping staff follow all health and safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness standards to avoid safety hazards.
- Enforce proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with hotel's standards, policies, and local laws regarding health and safety regulations.
Communication:
- Maintain clear and open communication with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Report any maintenance issues or guest feedback to the appropriate departments for follow-up.
Performance and Reporting:
- Maintain records of housekeeping activities, including inspection reports, staff attendance, and any issues requiring attention.
- Assist with preparing housekeeping reports for the executive team, including staffing levels, inventory, and departmental needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php20, Php22,000.00 per month
