Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement reviews, project meetings, and sprint activities to understand POS system functionalities and testing scope.
• Design and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for POS applications, peripherals, and integrations.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) on POS systems and related back-office applications.
• Validate end-to-end POS transactions, including item scanning, promotions, discounts, payments, refunds, and receipts.
• Test various payment methods (cash, credit/debit cards, e-wallets, contactless payments, etc.) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Verify connectivity and communication between POS terminals, servers, databases, and cloud-based systems.
• Conduct testing for POS hardware components such as printers, scanners, cash drawers, and card readers.
• Log, track, and manage defects using test management tools (e.g., Jira, ALM, TestRail) and work closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test results, defect reports, and test summary reports.
• Support deployment activities and post-implementation validation during production rollouts.
• Collaborate with business users during UAT to ensure all scenarios are validated against business requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and test efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in software testing, preferably with exposure to POS or retail systems.
• Strong knowledge of testing methodologies (manual and automated).
• Hands-on experience testing POS applications and integrations with back-end systems (ERP, CRM, payment gateways).
• Familiarity with databases and ability to perform basic SQL queries for data validation.
• Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, ALM).
• Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Contract length: 12 months

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
