About the Role:

The Encoder is responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and verifying data in company systems. This role ensures that information is complete, correct, and organized according to established standards. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, fast and accurate typing skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter, update, and maintain data in internal databases, spreadsheets, and digital systems.
  • Review source documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company standards.
  • Identify errors, inconsistencies, or missing information, and correct or escalate as needed.
  • Organize and classify information according to coding, labeling, or indexing guidelines.
  • Perform routine data audits to ensure high-quality and reliable data.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to resolve data discrepancies.
  • Generate basic reports or summaries based on encoded data, when required.
  • Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets.

Qualifications

  • College graduate or undergraduate preferred.
  • Proven experience as an encoder, data entry clerk, or similar role.
  • Strong typing speed and high accuracy.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets, microsoft tools, and office productivity tools.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
