Job Role: Full Stack Developer with PHP/Laravel and Python Experience

We are seeking an experienced developer to work on our high-priority projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full-stack web development using PHP (Laravel framework) and front-end technologies, as well as experience with Python for data integration, automation, and backend processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications using PHP (Laravel framework) and modern JavaScript libraries.
  • Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
  • Leverage Python for automation, data processing, and backend services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and deployment processes to ensure reliability and scalability.
  • Implement security best practices in applications and data handling.
  • Optimise application performance and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technologies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Application building tools (VSCode, Composer, npm).
  • Experience working in Agile environments, including participation in sprints, stand-ups, and iterative planning.
  • Practical experience with unit testing frameworks and methodologies.
  • Basic server setup and configuration (Nginx, Apache).
  • Linux/Bash proficiency, including cron jobs, process supervision, and console-based development tasks.
  • Experience with Docker environments and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Version control (Git), with specific experience in Bitbucket repositories.
  • CSS frameworks (Tailwind CSS).
  • Strong experience with relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and query optimisation.
  • RESTful API development and integration.
  • Python for backend services, automation, and data workflows.
  • Front-end development with JavaScript and React (InertiaJS).
  • PHP 8.1 and above with knowledge of MVC frameworks and PSR standards.
