Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Construction Architect to join our team. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our construction projects, ensuring that they meet our high standards of quality, safety, and sustainability.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage project schedules and budgets effectively, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery of construction projects.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members throughout the project lifecycle, including reviewing documents and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and budget constraints, developing and implementing effective project management strategies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration throughout the project.
  • Oversee construction administration tasks, such as reviewing documents and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, to ensure that construction work meets quality standards.
  • Conduct regular on-site supervision to monitor progress, ensure safety compliance, and address any issues promptly, serving as a liaison between design and construction teams.
  • Ensure that construction work meets quality standards through regular inspections and problem-solving, identifying and resolving construction-related challenges as they arise during the project.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of construction activities, including meeting minutes, correspondence, and change orders, to facilitate transparency and accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to address concerns, provide updates, and ensure satisfaction with project progress, assisting with project closeout and handover processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field required; Professional Architect license preferred.
  • 2 to 3 years of construction project experience needed, with strong background in architectural design and translation into construction documents.
  • Proficiency in architectural software: AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp.
  • Comprehensive understanding of building codes, regulations, zoning laws ensuring compliance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills for conveying design intent, addressing on-site issues.
  • Able to conduct site inspections, review shop drawings, resolve conflicts to maintain design integrity.
  • Knowledge of sustainable design principles, materials for environmentally friendly practices.
  • Strong project management skills: overseeing phases, scheduling, budgeting, procurement.
  • Understanding of construction methods, materials, techniques for decision-making.
  • Commitment to continuous learning, staying updated on industry trends, construction technology advancements.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently; effective delegation, people management skills.
