GBSS Mortgage Broker Support Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Loan Processing Specialist. This role is integral to ensuring the seamless processing of mortgage applications, from initial research and submission to final settlement.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the mortgage application process, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  2. Review and verify loan documentation, including income, asset, and credit reports.
  3. Conduct research on lender policies to provide the best lender options for borrowers.
  4. Package and submit loan applications, ensuring all supporting documents align with lender requirements.

Compliance & Coordination:

  1. Ensure all loan submissions meet disclosure and compliance requirements.
  2. Communicate with borrowers, brokers, underwriters, and lenders to facilitate smooth loan processing.
  3. Oversee valuations, property assessments, and loan-to-value ratio evaluations.
  4. Manage discharge requests and liaise with funders to ensure timely processing.

Software & System Proficiency:

  1. Utilize mortgage industry platforms, including ApplyOnline, Simpology, LoanApp, and Credit Consumer Reports software.
  2. Work with RP Data, CoreLogic, and lender servicing systems to support loan assessments.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement:

  1. Provide professional and timely communication with borrowers, brokers, and financial institutions.
  2. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient loan settlements and operational improvements.
  3. Assist with ad hoc office projects and process enhancements as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Minimum 2 years of experience in Australian mortgage brokerage or loan processing.
  2. Strong knowledge of loan structures, lender servicing, and credit policies.
  3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a deadline-driven environment.
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
  5. Proficiency in ApplyOnline, lender portals, file invites, RP Data, CoreLogic, and Microsoft Office is highly regarded.
