Job Opportunity

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer to contribute to the development of Juju, a large open-source Go project that powers complex distributed software systems across the globe.

  • Collaborate with our team to design, deliver, and support features in a highly concurrent system that drives cloud automation and software operations at scale.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Debug issues and interact with upstream communities publicly.
  • Join forces with experienced engineers including experts in many fields.

This is a globally remote role.

Requirements
  • Experience developing software using Go programming language.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially in online environments.
  • A strong academic record from both high school and university.

The following skills may be beneficial:

  • Hands-on experience developing highly concurrent systems.
  • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, LXD, Kubernetes).
  • Solid networking background.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Linux and open-source software world.
  • Understanding of configuration management software.
  • Working knowledge of cloud computing.
  • Experience with software packaging (Debian, snaps).
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience working on a distributed team on an open-source project.
