Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Accounting and Reporting:
  • Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct regular reconciliation of bank statements and manage petty cash.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the CFO to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Payroll Management:
  • Oversee the entire payroll process, from employee onboarding to payroll processing and year-end audits.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of employee salaries, wages, and benefits.
  • Accounts Receivable and Payables:
  • Manage the collection and processing of accounts receivable, including invoicing, credit checks, and debt recovery.
  • Review and approve accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely payment to suppliers.
  • Compliance and Legislative Reporting:
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Prepare and submit tax returns, superannuation contributions, and other government reports.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Assist the CFO in developing and implementing financial plans and forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Staff Management:
  • Supervise and train junior finance staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to improve performance and achieve goals.
  • Other Duties:
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the CFO or senior finance team members.
