At the Asian Development Bank, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Specialist to lead the origination, development, structuring, due diligence, approval, negotiations and implementation of private sector financing projects in the healthcare and education sectors in Central and West Asia.

The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant professional experience in corporate finance, project finance, investment banking or private equity, working on transactions in the healthcare and/or education sectors, analyzing credit risks, structuring, syndicating financing and other related commercial banking activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Development and Processing
  • Support the origination of a pipeline of private sector healthcare and education financing projects and screen investment opportunities through client outreach, focused business development and deal screening.
  • Undertake and manage the necessary due diligence, financial modeling, risk analysis and mitigation in the structuring of loans, equity investments, guarantees, B-loans or other forms of ADB assistance.
  • Ensure that appropriate legal documentation is concluded following approvals and that financial close (i.e., first disbursement) is achieved with the support of internal and external client.
  • Perform the role (if required) of a nominee director on the board of ADB's investee companies representing ADB's interests observing the principles of sound corporate governance.
  • Facilitate active relationships with industry leaders, project developers, investors, governments, commercial lenders and other financial partners.

Qualifications:

  • Mastery in finance, business administration, economics or a field related to international development; or University degree and at least 5 years specialized experience relevant to the position can be considered.
  • International experience working in development in Turkiye, Central Asia and West Asia.
