Front End WordPress Developer Job

 

As a front-end developer, you will be responsible for the user interface of our website.

You will turn wireframes and mock-ups into reusable code, build high-quality UI components with scalability in mind, and integrate plugins such as WooCommerce.

You will also implement new features to our WordPress website, perform routine maintenance and performance optimizations, and work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop web applications with best practices in web development
  • Transform app designs into front-end code using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Work with back-end developers to integrate UI components with APIs and databases
  • Refine specifications and requirements based on technical requirements or UX design
  • Debug errors, troubleshoot issues, and perform routine performance optimizations
  • Manage search engine optimization (SEO)
  • Write scalable, high-quality, and reusable code

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4-year experience developing modern, responsive, and cross-browser-compatible websites using WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • At least 5 developed websites with links to sample works or portfolio requested
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
  • Experience with JavaScript libraries such as jQuery, GSAP, and Bootstrap
  • Proficient with HTML5, including semantic HTML elements, microformats, and WAI-ARIA
  • Familiar with CSS preprocessors such as SASS, Less, Bootstrap, or Tailwind CSS
  • Expert in ACF and Gutenberg
  • Basic proficiency in Google Analytics and Tag Manager
  • Working knowledge of SEO principles
  • Experience with build tools such as Grunt, Gulp, or Webpack
  • Basic proficiency with Figma
  • Experience with cross-browser compatibility testing
  • Experience with responsive web design
  • Familiar with W3C and W3GAC html standards

The Best Candidates Will Have:

  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, AlpineJS, and Vue
  • Proficiency in Sketch and Invision
  • Experience in Webflow
