We are looking for a skilled Accounts Payable Team Lead to lead our accounts payable team. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of accounts payable procedures, including processing payments, maintaining financial records, and implementing internal controls.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leading and mentoring the accounts payable team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Managing and executing month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and settlements.
  • Collaborating with various departments to implement internal controls and enhance accounts payable workflows.
  • Reviewing and approving invoices for accurate coding and proper entry into the accounting system.
  • Maintaining and updating financial records within accounting and inventory systems.
  • Developing and implementing internal controls to mitigate risks and enhance compliance with accounting policies.
  • Supporting audits by compiling and providing required documentation to internal and external auditors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or accounts payable roles, preferably in a leadership position.
  • Experience with Coupa is a must.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems, particularly Great Plains, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Deep understanding of general accounting principles, including GAAP standards, AP aging, and payment terms.
