Job Summary

The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial records, ensuring timely and accurate journal entries, and adhering to accounting policies and procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and reviews daily and monthly journal entries, ensuring timely and accurate recording.
  • Develops and maintains account analysis and related supporting schedules as needed.
  • Provides supervision and training to Assistant Accountants and General Ledger Assistants, reviewing journal entries and account analysis.
  • Prepares Daily Cash flow Report for Management.
  • Creates account reconciliation schedules for month-end closing process.
  • Interacts with affiliate companies regarding intercompany transactions/charges.
  • Assists Senior Accountant / Assistant Financial Controller with month end closing process.
  • Assists Senior Accountant with actual vs budget variance analysis and commentary on monthly departmental P&L.
  • Distributes departmental P&L to Department heads and liaises with relevant parties to ensure all revenue and expenses are properly recorded.
  • Assists Senior Accountants in holding monthly Departmental P&L meeting.
  • Prepares information for tax filing or other statutory reporting to government agencies.
  • Performs other office administration tasks as needed.
Requirements

Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of accounting (commercial or auditing) experience.

Education

  • University degree in Accounting / Finance. Professional certification will be an advantage.

  • Knowledge of gaming industry is a plus.
