Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Bookkeeper who will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of our organization's accounting processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and preparing financial reports.

The successful candidate should possess a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and a solid understanding of accounting principles. They should also be able to interact effectively with all levels of the organization and demonstrate the ability to successfully plan, organize, and manage projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepares budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data, and recommending plans to management.
  • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data to stakeholders.
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends to inform business decisions.
  • Covers banking activities such as processing bank deposits, reporting financial results, and coordinating cash flow management.
  • Develops monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit, and loss statements, and balance sheets to provide visibility into financial performance.
  • Manages accounts receivable/payable and payroll functions in a timely manner to ensure efficient cash flow and minimize risk.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
  • Trains and develops staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees to maintain a high-performing team.
  • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential to maintain stakeholder trust.
  • Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintains subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies, and balancing subsidiary ledgers to ensure accuracy and completeness.
