About the Position

CashJar is seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in .NET and deep knowledge of AWS services, including RDS, ECS, and EC2.

The Job Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using .NET Core and related frameworks.
  2. Architect and implement solutions on AWS, utilizing services such as RDS, ECS, EC2, and others.
  3. Optimize database performance and manage data persistence using relational databases hosted on AWS RDS.
  4. Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support frontend and external integrations.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and project success.
  6. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
  7. Ensure security, scalability, and reliability of backend systems through best practices and modern tools.

Required Skills

  1. 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend Engineer, with a focus on .NET (C#, ASP.NET Core).
  2. Proven expertise with AWS services, including RDS, ECS, EC2, and familiarity with additional tools like S3, CloudFormation, or Lambda.
  3. Strong experience in designing and optimizing relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
  4. Proficiency in building and deploying applications in a fast-paced development environment.
  5. Demonstrated ability to deliver features and fixes within sprints with strict deadlines in an Agile/Scrum setting.
  6. Excellent English communication skills for effective collaboration with global teams.
  7. Solid understanding of RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and version control (e.g., Git).
  8. Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools.
