Financial Analyst Job Description:

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to manage financial records, prepare accurate reports, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. This position involves a combination of routine accounts receivable functions, payroll processing, accounts payable support, general ledger maintenance, and active participation in special projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations
  • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate, organized reporting
  • Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data
  • Support accounts receivable tasks, including contract uploads, billing, invoicing, and cash application
  • Manage customer relationships and resolve billing issues
  • Process monthly payroll activities, including payroll runs and payroll entries
  • Assist with investor and bank reporting
  • Manage emails effectively within Zendesk
  • Know how to manage project management tools in a timely and proactive manner
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Perform ad hoc tasks, financial analysis, and process improvement projects as needed
Requirements/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Knowledgeable in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards
  • Experience working with SaaS companies
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word)
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team
