Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design BIM Engineer to join our team at WSP Manila, Inc. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and creating 3D models of physical spaces that will be built.

The successful candidate will have a recognised degree in Mechanical Engineering and minimum 3 years of relevant experience in industry designing mechanical systems. Strong knowledge of various fire systems and plumbing, sanitary and gas systems is preferred.

You will perform tasks such as mechanical load calculation, capacity sizing, plant room and riser sizing, technical discussion on common design problems and more. You will also conduct regular progress reports to the Project Director/Manager/Engineer and ensure all exported information are recorded in the correct directory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for Air-conditioning, Mechanical Ventilation, Fire Protection, plumbing, Sanitary and Gas services for projects from concept stage to project completion.
  • Perform mechanical load calculation on cooling load, water consumption demand, sanitary discharge.
  • Perform capacity sizing for chiller, cooling tower, air handling units, fan coil units, mechanical ventilation fans, fire tanks & pumps, water tanks, booster & transfer pumps, etc.
  • Conduct technical discussions on common design problems.
  • Participate and support the Company's SHEQ within their scope of duties.
