Cloud Solutions Specialist

This role involves working with our support teams to resolve day-to-day issues for our clients. As a Cloud Solutions Specialist, you'll be responsible for resolving alerts and tickets while providing exceptional customer service.

You'll work with various products and platforms, diagnosing and repairing issues within client environments of all sizes. This is an excellent opportunity to learn new technologies and collaborate with customers worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide timely and effective communication to resolve client issues
  • Offer level 2 support for Veeam Backup and Replication, vCloud Director, and Hyper-V
  • Troubleshoot server operating system issues, primarily Microsoft Windows Server but also Linux-based systems
  • Manage multiple tickets, prioritizing work against tight deadlines
  • Collaborate with supervisors to enhance processes and improve efficiency
  • Mentor and train junior engineers
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets related to ongoing client environment management
  • Monitor and service client operations, including troubleshooting, patching, updating, and configuring systems
  • Develop automation to streamline current and future processes
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud technologies or business continuity as a technician, administrator, engineer, or helpdesk team member
  • Extensive knowledge of IT disciplines, including virtualization, networking, and storage
  • Hands-on experience managing backup and disaster recovery strategies and solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure Identity Management
  • Professional communication, documentation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with ticketing systems like Zendesk
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Nagios, Icinga, and Zabbix
  • Experience with VMware, Veeam Backup and Replication, and Hyper-V
  • Knowledge of public cloud platforms – Azure, AWS, and GCP
  • Previous experience in DRaaS, BaaS, and virtualization platforms
