Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team immediately. This work-from-home position requires proficiency in using Planswift and Bluebeam for electrical measurements, take-offs, and cost estimation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform quantity take-offs for electrical systems on various construction projects.
  • Use Planswift and Bluebeam to generate accurate measurements from electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Provide detailed cost estimations for electrical materials and labor based on project scope and requirements.
  • Review electrical plans and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other teams to ensure accurate budgeting and cost control.
  • Generate comprehensive reports, including cost breakdowns and analysis of any variances.
  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, bid proposals, and contract management related to electrical works.
  • Evaluate all work against electrical standards, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor specializing in electrical takeoffs in the construction and engineering industry.
  • Strong proficiency in Planswift and Bluebeam for measurements, take-offs, and cost estimation.
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems within construction projects, including power distribution, cabling, lighting, and other related components.
  • Ability to interpret complex electrical drawings and generate accurate cost estimates and material take-offs.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration with teams and stakeholders.
  • Absence of prior commitments allowing immediate start.

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,000 - $80,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
