About the Job

We are seeking a Freelance Peer Reviewer to assess manuscripts in the field of Emergency, Transplant & Urologic Surgery.

This role involves evaluating study design and methodology, checking literature reviews, analysing results and conclusions, and providing constructive feedback.

The successful candidate will have a Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, strong written communication skills, and the ability to adhere to deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Assess Novelty: Evaluate whether the manuscript is original and adds new knowledge or insights to the field.
  • Evaluate Study Design and Methodology: Assess whether the study design and methods are appropriate and comprehensive.
  • Literature Review: Check whether the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant research.
  • Analyse Results and Conclusions: Evaluate whether the results are presented clearly and appropriately, and whether the conclusions are supported by the data.
  • Providing Constructive Feedback: Provide feedback suggesting improvements or highlighting any flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
Requirements
  • Doctorate (PhD/MD) or equivalent advanced degree in the subject area.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to provide clear, concise, and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to adhere to deadlines and manage time effectively.
