Financial Controller Assistant

S&P Global, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller Assistant to join its team. As a key member of the accounting operations group, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reports.

The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of experience in accounting and reconciliation, with a strong understanding of financial principles and theories. A college-level accounting degree is preferred, but not required. The successful candidate will be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and preparing financial statements. You will also assist in the implementation of new accounting systems and processes.

You will work closely with the Accounting COE to achieve goals and execute on special projects. This includes partnering with business unit FP&A teams to maintain expense data and report drivers of variances to estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets and income statements
  • Implement new accounting systems and processes
  • Provide support to the accounting team on special projects and initiatives

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of accounting and reconciliation experience
  • College-level accounting degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
