About the Role:

OPTIMAL is a rapidly growing firm specializing in US Real Estate Accounting, managing a portfolio of clients encompassing thousands of properties. We are experts across multiple U.S. accounting software and interface directly with U.S.-based clients daily.

Job Overview

This role combines hands-on accounting work with leadership and client relationship management. The Senior Account Manager will oversee client accounts, ensure accurate financial reporting, and provide strategic financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of accountants and bookkeepers to achieve departmental goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with management and clients to address financial inquiries, resolve issues, and provide strategic insights.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external accountants as needed.

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and relevant accounting practices.
  • Experience in property management accounting is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Yardi, AppFolio, or similar).
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
