Job Overview:

The Caring Services Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that families receive the highest level of care and support during times of bereavement. This position requires a compassionate and empathetic individual who can provide guidance and assistance to families as they navigate the funeral service process.

Responsibilities:
  • Promptly respond to initial contact from families regarding deceased pickup, ensuring all necessary documents are in place.
  • Treat each deceased with utmost respect and dignity throughout the retrieval process.
  • Coordinate driver and attendant/janitor/helper details for deceased retrieval, guaranteeing seamless execution.
  • Verify all required documents (trip ticket, release form/death certificate) prior to retrieval to avoid delays.
  • Provide bereaved families with essential information and advice on steps to take when retrieving deceased from hospitals, residences, or medico-legal cases.
  • Gather vital information from bereaved families for proper coordination with all parties involved.
  • Inform families about basic requirements and procedures for claims (SSS, GSIS, insurance, memorial plans).
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of chapels, offices, showrooms, preparation rooms, and surrounding areas, including service vehicles and equipment.
  • Supervise and coordinate all aspects of funeral services, which may include:
    • Closely coordinating with morticians/embalmers and janitors for body preparation and presentation.
    • Overseeing embalming of deceased prior to funeral.
    • Affording and assisting bereaved families with needs such as flower arrangements, candle requirements, or coordinating priest/pastor services.
    • Supervising ornament preparations for residential and/or outside viewing cases.
    • Organizing pallbearers and additional manpower for interment requirements.
    • DIRECTING THE FUNERAL SERVICE FROM BEGINNING THROUGH COMPLETION.
  • Collate and report operational incidents to General Manager and HR.
  • Report client feedback concerning services, personnel attitudes, and conduct for assessment purposes.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by Management.
