Job Title: Threat Intelligence Lead

The Role: We seek a seasoned expert in threat intelligence to spearhead our organization's strategy and execution.

  • This includes owning Canonical's threat intelligence strategy, understanding cyber threat actors targeting the company, and utilizing Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTP) data for better products and internal cybersecurity controls.
  • A key responsibility is building and maintaining OSINT research environments.
  • The ideal candidate will develop OSINT tradecraft, principles, and techniques.
  • Targeted intrusion cyber threats, trends, and new developments by cyber threat actors through analysis of proprietary and open source datasets must be identified and tracked.
  • Collaboration across teams to inform on activity of interest is also required.
  • Adversary/campaign tracking coordination is essential.
  • The individual will contribute to the wider threat intelligence community, establishing their organization as a key contributor and thought leader.
  • Additionally, working with product and engineering teams to explain cybersecurity threats and advise on mitigation strategies is crucial.
  • The OPSEC and IS team collaboration to help implement/update security controls prioritizing cyber defense is vital.
  • Intelligence gaps identification and proposing new tools and research projects are also key responsibilities.
