Job Description

Our project aims to strengthen education authorities and stakeholders in implementing inclusive education and monitoring segregation in schools.

We will promote inclusion, respect for diversity, and multiculturalism, eliminating prejudices and stereotypes against Roma children.

As a Roma Education/Inclusive Education Expert-Consultant, you will support our project in developing resources and assisting review, analysis, and capacity-building activities.

You will conduct an international review of good practices in promoting inclusive education for Roma children, identify at least three whole-school approaches, monitoring methods, policy development strategies, and community collaboration techniques.

  • Review EU/international best practices in addressing education segregation for Roma children
  • Develop a capacity-building toolkit for regional and national stakeholders
  • Support the draft National Roma Education Desegregation Action Plan

Additionally, you will provide technical expertise based on the review findings and toolkit, revising the research plan for monitoring Roma education segregation, reviewing the final report with recommendations, and supporting the presentation of project deliverables.

  • Conduct research and gather information on effective practices in inclusive education for Roma children
  • Develop a comprehensive toolkit for capacity building regional and national stakeholders
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure successful project implementation
Required Skills and Qualifications

To qualify as a consultant, you will need an advanced degree in international development, human rights, education, or another relevant social science field.

At least ten years of experience in education, inclusive education, or vulnerable group inclusion is required.

Strong networking and collaboration skills are essential for this role.

Benefits

This is a home-based, part-time consultancy for 45 working days within a period from July 2025 to December 2026, with possible travel to Slovakia.
