Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Credit Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing creditworthiness of borrowers and associated assets, as well as assessing risk associated with loan applications.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related field, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in credit analysis or a similar role within the mortgage or finance industry.

Key skills and qualifications include proficiency in using financial analysis tools, strong understanding of commercial loans, income calculations and lenders' servicing calculators.

Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze creditworthiness of residential & commercial borrowers and associated assets.
  • Assess risk associated with loan applications.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of collateral (residential & commercial real estate, equipment, or other assets) to determine its value and marketability.
  • Analyze financial statements of borrower's business, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Understand and evaluate economic and industry-specific factors that may impact borrower's ability to repay the loan.
  • Collaborate with loan officers and underwriters to structure loan terms and conditions.
  • Evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing residential & commercial real estate lending.
  • Communicate credit decisions, loan terms, and conditions to stakeholders.
