We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to support our client's growing physical therapy clinic.
This fully remote role will have you manage the clinic's front office workflow—ensuring patients receive excellent support and a welcoming experience from their first interaction through ongoing care.
About the RoleThe Patient Care Coordinator will provide polite and professional customer service to patients, answer phone calls, emails, and SMS patient inquiries, schedule and confirm appointments, follow-ups, and referrals, process intake forms and maintain patient records in EMR, verify insurance and coordinate with billing staff as needed, and support front desk workflow, including reminders, forms, and general inquiries.
Responsibilities- Manage patient interactions and respond to inquiries via phone, email, and SMS
- Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-ups, and referrals for patients
- Process patient intake forms and maintain accurate records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
- Verify patient insurance coverage and coordinate with billing staff as necessary
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure patient satisfaction
- Support front desk operations, including reminder notifications, form management, and general inquiries
- 1+ year of experience in healthcare administration, reception, or veterans affairs
- Preferred familiarity with U.S. insurance verification processes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Fluent spoken and written English language skills
