Wildlife Expert

We are seeking a Wildlife Expert to join our team at WKC, responsible for supporting our ecological research and conservation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical written skills and a basic understanding of statistics, with experience in assisting with field surveys.

The successful candidate will have strong field ecology survey skills in marine and/or terrestrial ecosystems, as well as a basic understanding of wildlife legislation and policy in the Arabian Peninsula.

This role involves assisting with desk studies on terrestrial and/or marine ecology and field surveys. As the successful candidate develops their skills, they will take on more responsibilities such as assisting with ecological impact assessment studies and providing mitigation for protected flora and fauna for various development projects in the GCC or Philippines.

Responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the ecology team during field surveys.
• Conducting data analysis and sampling to determine species distribution patterns.
• Participating in habitat surveys and identifying different habitats and associated flora and fauna.
• Preparing reports and maintaining ecological survey equipment.
• Developing expertise in local wildlife legislation and communicating it effectively to colleagues, clients, and contractors.
• Managing accurate field notes and data effectively.
