Head, Engineering

We are seeking a seasoned engineering leader to spearhead our cloud-native data platforms, AI solutions, and GenAI-powered products. As the head of engineering, you will be responsible for establishing a compelling engineering vision and technology roadmap aligned with business and product objectives.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Engineering Vision and Strategy:
    • Determine and communicate a clear engineering vision that aligns with business objectives.
    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation.
    • Review, approve, and coach solution architectures.
  • Product Roadmap Co-ownership:
    • Translate product vision into engineering epics and milestones.
    • Balance new features, technical debt, and non-functional requirements.
  • Agile Engineering Excellence:
    • Implement Scrum/Kanban, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and MLOps.
    • Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools.
  • Talent Management:
    • Lead, mentor, and scale a 20+ FTE multi-disciplinary org.
    • Oversee resource allocation, budgets, and project timelines.
  • Governance and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with ISO27001, DPA, SOC2 standards.
    • Champion data governance and quality frameworks.
  • Delivery and Cost KPIs:
    • Improve deployment frequency, lead time, change-failure rate, uptime, and cloud-cost efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Represent engineering in sales pursuits and customer demos.
    • Collaborate with Product, Design, and GTM teams.
  • Culture of Innovation:
    • Foster an environment of experimentation and learning.
    • Drive PoCs in GenAI, data-mesh, and developer-experience tooling.

You will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Information Technology, Data Science, or related disciplines, with 8+ years of experience in Engineering/AI and/or Data Science field and 2 or more years in a senior management capacity managing multiple teams.

This role reports to the Chief Technology & Operating Officer (CTOO) and has direct reports of Engineering Managers/Leads for various disciplines.
