Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Locomotive Operator to join our team at SYCPC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our locomotives and trains.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily inspections and tests of locomotive brakes and safety devices
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable operating rules, switching procedures, and regulations
  • Provide protection of train, track, and equipment
  • Perform plant and equipment inspections
  • Complete daily reports and logs
  • Exert best effort to protect human life, human safety, and company property
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of railway operations and safety procedures
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
