Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

Seeking a seasoned software engineer to transition into a leadership role, overseeing engineering teams and driving technical direction.

This is an excellent chance for a skilled technologist to develop their management skills and contribute to the growth of our engineering practices.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.

They will be responsible for guiding architectural decisions, managing multiple teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.

The selected individual will also be expected to foster a culture of innovation, creativity, and accountability within the team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor engineering teams, ensuring they are aligned with business goals and objectives.
  • Drive technical direction and make informed decisions about software design and implementation.
  • Manage competing priorities and balance short-term delivery needs with long-term scalability and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement agile practices, ensuring efficient collaboration and communication among team members.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation, leading to increased efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in technical leadership or management roles.
  • Strong engineering background, proven track record in designing, developing, deploying, and scaling end-to-end software solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to operate in fast-paced environments, balance competing priorities, and lead by example.
  • Highly creative, able to challenge conventional approaches and drive innovative solutions.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Hands-on experience in Transportation / Mobility as a Service (TMaas) or related industries.
  • Prior startup experience.
  • Certifications in Agile, Scrum, PMP, or similar.
  • Experience leading cloud-native, mobile-first, or large-scale distributed systems.
