Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in accounting practices, with a strong proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing tax filings and conducting regular audits to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

The Senior Accountant will oversee and manage the entire accounting cycle, ensuring timely and accurate financial statement preparation in compliance with U.S. GAAP. This includes conducting monthly and annual closing processes, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance and balance sheet reconciliations.

You will also administer accounts payable and receivable, ensuring efficient processing, payment of invoices and collection of revenue. Additionally, you will prepare and file tax returns, both federal and state, and ensure compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.

As a Senior Accountant, you will develop and monitor internal controls and policies to ensure financial data integrity and security. You will collaborate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial practices.

Responsibilities

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting for U.S. companies.
  • Proficiency in financial accounting software, with a strong preference for experience in QuickBooks.
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the U.S. and experience with financial statement preparation.
  • Fully fluent in English.
  • Ability to commit long-term and work full-time.
  • Ability to work U.S. business hours (Pacific Time, Central Time or Eastern Time).
