Job Description">

Seeking a detail-oriented and experienced bookkeeper to join our finance team. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial transactions and compliance with Australian accounting standards, including GST and BAS requirements.

The ideal candidate will be confident working with Xero, reconciling payments from platforms like EasyDebit and Stripe.

  • Manage accounts payable, including invoice receipt, coding, and submission for processing.">
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are accurately coded in Xero.">
  • Reconcile batch payments from clients via payment gateways like EasyDebit, Stripe, and Square.">
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable, ensuring timely processing of payments.">
  • Post month-end general journals as required by the Finance Manager.">
  • Maintain the fixed asset register in Xero.">
  • Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and ensure compliance with GST regulations.">
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support accurate financial reporting.">
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial records and systems.">
  • Assist with payroll and superannuation contributions if required.">

2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within an Australian business environment.

Strong working knowledge of Xero.

Experience reconciling transactions from EasyDebit, Stripe, or similar payment gateways.

Solid understanding of Australian GST, BAS, and accounting compliance.

Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
