We are seeking a skilled Tax Professional with expertise in Australian taxation to join our team.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and lodgement of company and trust tax returns
  • Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) calculations and compliance
  • Capital Gains Tax (CGT) event management and structuring
  • Mentorship and collaboration with the client's offshore bookkeeping team
  • Support in business activity statements (BAS) preparation and bookkeeping processes
Requirements

Necessary Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation
  • Proficiency in Australian tax legislation and compliance
  • Familiarity with Australian Tax Office (ATO) systems and compliance deadlines
  • Xero and XPM proficiency
  • Background in FYIDocs is advantageous
  • Highly accurate with a sharp eye for detail
  • Excellent communication skills to train and guide junior or offshore staff
  • A self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal supervision
  • Motivated to grow with the organization and open to taking on more responsibility
