Key Responsibilities:

The role entails maintaining key financial records and ensuring timely postings to various accounts.

Accounting Transactions:
  • Maintain accurate accounting records.
  • Process payroll through Xero, including additions, bonuses, benefits, and end-of-year reporting.

Management Accounts:
  • Prepare and review management accounts packs from Xero each month.

Tax Compliance:
  • Assist with BAS / IAS preparation, tax returns, and worker compensation estimates and actuals declarations.


Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this position, you will need a Graduate degree in Finance and/or Accounting. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) is preferred.

Experience:
  • Proven experience in Australian accounts, preferably with 3 years or more of experience.

Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Australian Taxation and Compliance is advantageous.
  • Hands-on experience with accounting tools such as Xero and Hubdoc is necessary.

Personal Qualities:
  • Effective time management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Able to learn new systems and tools as needed.

This role requires strong sense of responsibility, creativity, critical thinking skills, identifying potential risks, providing recommendations, and proactively raising issues for clients and the business.
