Job Title: GIS / Mapping Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled GIS / Mapping Specialist to manage the mapping of our assets and ensure accurate, consistent, and timely updates to the Geographic Information System (GIS).

Key Responsibilities:

  2. Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from various sources for asset mapping.
  3. Maintain and update GIS maps and asset data across all locations.
  4. Recommend and coordinate corrections for map and spatial data inaccuracies.
  5. Monitor GIS hardware/software performance and service provider execution of GIS-related work orders.
  6. Conduct field surveys and validate project outcomes.
  7. Digitize completed work orders for system consistency.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in any engineering course.
  • Must be a Licensed Engineer.
  • 1-2 years of professional experience in a similar role in a distribution utility is highly preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in Data and Maps Management, Cartography and Surveying, Billing Management for Streetlights and related infrastructure, and GIS tools/software.
