Job Description

Megawide Construction Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior HSE Professional to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attain the Company's major safety objectives.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing Safety-Related Methodologies: Develops safety-related construction methodologies, safety standards, and programs of work to ensure proper project implementation.
  2. Evaluating Materials and Processes: Evaluates and recommends materials and processes to improve safety based on DOLE standards on project site.
  3. Implementing New Technologies: Studies and implements new technologies on HSE construction implementation that will help minimize cost, improve the construction turnaround time, and eliminate wastages of materials also to prevent accidents on site.
  4. Assisting Project Teams: Assists project teams in the planning, method statements, and risk assessment to identify and recommend appropriate actions.
  5. Ensuring Compliance: Ensures that the project complies with the HS&E policy, HSE management system. Advises Megawide line supervisors and subcontractors of any shortfalls and provides recommendations.
  6. Developing Training Programs: Develops, manages, and promotes HSE awareness training at all levels of employees. Assists in the identification of HSE training needs and carries out training to members of the Project Management and Subcontractors as necessary.
  7. Conducting Site Visits: Conducts site visits and inspections on a regular basis and ensures methodology and processes of work are complied in accordance with DOLE standards.
  8. Investigating Incidents: Investigates and submits reports for safety-related incidents and dangerous occurrences.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Graduate of any 4-year course
  • BOSH and COSH training
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant experience in HSE, preferably in the construction industry
  • At least 5 years managerial capacity
