Accounting Manager Opportunity

We seek an experienced Accounting Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial accounting and transaction processing, with expertise in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the month-end close process ensuring adherence to the timeline and checklist.
  • Review final profit & loss (P&L) scrub and approve journal entries prepared by staff.
  • Ensure the accuracy of the balance sheet workbook including spot-checking source document filing.
  • Review and update financial notes charts graphs and footnotes to ensure alignment with KPIs and executive summaries.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements including income statements balance sheets and cash flow reports.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in financial reports through variance analysis.
Financial Management Leadership
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting efforts for real estate projects including capital expenditures and operating costs.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support cost-saving initiatives and revenue growth.
Tax Compliance & Regulatory Requirements
  • Prepare and submit sales tax returns with controller approval.
  • Coordinate review and submit annual 1099s.
Operational Oversight & Administration
  • Manage recurring weekly accounting processes as outlined by the controller.
  • Review customer invoicing vendor bills and process payments.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of accounting experience in financial close variance analysis and payroll processing.
  • Fluency in English written and spoken.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Advanced Excel skills complex formulas data structuring and financial modeling.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Identifying opportunities for improvement developing solutions and implementing process changes managing budgets and forecasting creating financial models analyzing financial data and resolving discrepancies.
