Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Ruby Software Engineer to join our team in Tarlac City, PH.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality Ruby code for new carrier integrations. You will manage and orchestrate a large number of microservices, understand, plan, and execute maintenance of existing integrations, lead and actively participate in efforts on systems architecture initiatives, improve test coverage and quality of deliverables, improve and create internal tools and libraries, mentoring and guiding other team members, and actively participate in scaling the engineering team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Ruby code for new carrier integrations
  • Manage and orchestrate multiple microservices
  • Plan and execute maintenance of existing integrations
  • Lead and participate in systems architecture initiatives
  • Improve test coverage and quality of deliverables
  • Create and improve internal tools and libraries
  • Mentor and guide junior team members
  • Participate in scaling the engineering team
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
  • Recent experience working with Ruby projects
  • Hands-on experience with planning and improving observability and monitoring processes
  • Experience with Grafana/Prometheus is a plus
  • Familiarity with test-driven development
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems principles
  • Experience working with microservices and/or service-oriented architecture
  • Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes from a software engineering perspective
  • Experience working with public cloud providers (GCP is preferred)
  • Deep understanding of relational and non-relational database principles
  • Hands-on experience in designing robust REST APIs
  • Leadership skills to drive technical initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English
