Medical Scribe Job Opportunity

As a medical scribe, you will work closely with healthcare providers to document clinical interactions in real-time. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate and detailed patient records, allowing medical professionals to focus more on patient care.

This role requires strong attention to detail, discretion when handling sensitive patient data, and proficiency in using Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). You will work independently as an independent contractor, providing your services remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Documentation: Documenting patient encounters in real-time using EMRs such as Epic, AthenaNet/AthenaHealth, Cerner, or NextGen.
  • Clinical Data Capture: Capturing patient histories, physical exam findings, diagnostic impressions, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
  • Chart Management: Updating and maintaining charts, medication lists, allergies, and problem lists.
  • Communication: Maintaining communication with providers for clarification and accuracy of documentation.
  • HIPAA Compliance: Ensuring all documentation is HIPAA-compliant and meets clinical and legal standards.
Requirements:
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Clinical Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience as a medical scribe or in a clinical documentation role.
  • MEDICAL TERMINOLOGY AND CLINICAL WORKFLOWS: Familiarity with medical terminologies and clinical workflows.
  • Healthcare Degree: A healthcare-related degree is highly preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office.
  • EMR Experience: Experience with EMRs such as Epic, Cerner, or AthenaHealth is a plus.
  • HIPAA Certification: HIPAA Certification is a plus.
