About the Position:
  • Leadership: Lead the Accounts Payable team and foster a collaborative work environment.
  • Process Expertise: Possess comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable processes and procedures.
  • Tax Compliance: Stay updated on tax changes and ensure compliance through filing, payment, and reporting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
  1. Compliance and Process Improvement: Ensure team and organization compliance with Accounts Payable process and procedure, identify and resolve deviations, and escalate issues on a timely basis.
  2. Process Enhancement: Identify areas for improvement within the Accounts Payable process and recommend enhancements to optimize efficiency.
  3. Accounts Payable Management: Manage company accounts payable, work closely with requestors, and strategize on payments of long outstanding dues.
  4. Tax Compliance: Stay updated on tax changes, execute necessary updates, and conduct tax education or training as required.
  5. Tax Filing and Reporting: Ensure tax compliance through filing, payment, and reporting responsibilities.
  6. Cash Flow Forecasting: Assist in cash flow forecasting and work with relevant heads to prioritize payments according to schedule.
  7. Root Cause Analysis: Conduct root cause analysis to prevent repetition of problems and ensure effective resolution.
  8. Issue Resolution: Resolve issues effectively, knowing when to escalate challenges and errors to senior leaders.
  9. Ad-Hoc Tasks: Perform ad-hoc tasks as requested by department heads and/or management.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting is required.
  2. Experience: At least 8 years of experience as an Accounts Payable Manager.
  3. Tax Knowledge: Comprehensive tax knowledge and experience in tax filing are essential.
  4. Technical Skills: Technologically adept with familiarity in Accounts Payable or Accounting platforms, either commercial or proprietary.
  5. Software Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace tools is a plus.
  6. Start-Up Experience: Experience in a start-up company is preferred.
  7. Soft Skills: Excellent stakeholder management, organizational, time management, and communication skills are required.
  8. Analytical Skills: Analytical skills with the ability to connect dots on a bigger scale are necessary.
  9. Willingness to Report: Willingness to report daily to the San Juan, Manila office is expected.
