Loan Origination Specialist Position

As a Loan Origination Specialist at Metrobank, you will be responsible for evaluating loan proposals and managing credit risk. You will work closely with Institutional Banking Segment (IBS) counterparts to ensure timely submission of pre-approval documents and manage assigned portfolios of accounts.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing Evaluation and Recommendation for Credit Accommodation (ERCA) for credit line renewals of IBS accounts according to policy and in compliance with the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA) with IBS.
  • Validating data provided by lending units as part of the credit assessment.
  • Assessing related collateral and documentation deviations and necessary mitigations in relation to the credit assessment.
  • Identifying all relevant policy and regulatory deviations to arrive at a fair assessment of the overall risks and making appropriate recommendations.

You will also determine and assess credit risk rating and classification, ensuring they are appropriate and relevant at all times.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Accountancy, Accounting Management, Math, Statistics, Financial Management, or Economics.
  • At least 3 years of working experience in credit with focus on commercial and corporate loans.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
  • A pro-active approach to problem-solving and ability to meet tight deadlines.
