Job Description

Your role will involve:

  • Reporting to the relevant Head of Quality Control & Assurance based in Toronto and cultivating excellent relationships with Management and staff in various divisions and R&C colleagues.
  • Being involved in the day-to-day execution of operational effectiveness testing for Fund of Hedge Funds, Loan Administration, and Private Equity in a quality manner.
  • Potential involvement in creating new Quality Controls programs for Middle Office Solution (MOS) payments processing processes.
  • Preparing quality control reports for Senior Management on operational effectiveness testing activities.
  • Working closely with business divisions to review and enhance internal control frameworks.
  • Fostering risk and control awareness across the organization by working with Management and first and second line functions.
  • Maintaining expertise and pursuing training to stay up-to-date with new developments in Risk Management and auditing fields.
  • Supporting and coaching junior team members working on the same project or as part of working groups.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • A relevant professional qualification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or equivalent level within Risk Management.
  • Four to eight years of experience in accounting, risk management, internal controls, external audit, or internal audit functions.
  • Experience with a Big 4 audit firm is desirable.
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills.
